Our School Vision

Central to our philosophy is that:

'Everyone in our school will develop with limitless potential by being motivated and engaged in a Christian community.'

We believe that children should experience life in all of its fullness (John 10:10). Wisdom, hope, dignity and community permeate all that we do at Tardebigge.

The School Mission Statement

Our Mission, vision and policies are underpinned by Luke 10: 25-29, after which Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan.

“On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. ‘Teacher,’ he asked, ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’
‘What is written in the Law?’ he replied. ‘How do you read it?’
He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind”; and, “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
‘You have answered correctly,’ Jesus replied. ‘Do this and you will live.’ But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbour?’

Jesus told us to love our neighbours as ourselves. The parable of the Good Samaritan tells us that everyone is our neighbour. We live this message through our core values of happiness and joy, respect, honesty and trust, perseverance and compassion.

Our mission at Tardebigge is to create an efficient and effective learning community with high expectations of its staff, parents and children. We want our school to create an exciting, high quality safe learning environment that meets the needs of all its learners. Our rainbow of opportunity opens up a horizon of hope and aspiration for all children. Tardebigge aims to include all children in a wealth of experiences that will enable them to become responsible, confident and joyful members of society.

We want each child, each member of staff and each parent and carer to feel happy and valued within a compassionate Christian community. We all strive and persevere for excellence and to improve on our previous best. Honesty is a core value that underpins the life at Tardebigge. Adults and children are encouraged to be honest with themselves and to others enabling them to ‘live life in its fullness.’

All our children, staff and parents are unique. Every child matters to God. We believe that everyone is capable to achieve and we promote this through our growth mindset culture. This culture is based on trust in one’s self and trust in others that we will support each other even when we make mistakes. This is one of hope and where aspirations are developed. Children are nurtured to cope wisely when aspects of life go wrong.

We believe that potential is without limit so it is important that we provide quality opportunities to engage and motivate all learners at Tardebigge. Tardebigge School is committed to striving continuously to raise achievement and personal best.

Tardebigge seeks to provide a ‘hands on’ learning experience in which children feel exceptionally safe and able ‘to live life in all its fullness.’ We strive to make the curriculum personal and exciting for all our learners. High standards will be pursued in the core skills of English, Maths, Science, Information Technology and Computing and Religious Education. With the help of extended schools and our local community, we will offer enriched opportunities for each learner to develop interest and skills in Music, Art, Drama and Sport.

As a Church of England school we celebrate everyone’s uniqueness in the sight of God. We aim to create an atmosphere of serving God in others and to provide a Christian ethos that permeates throughout the whole school, including opportunities to worship together and experience awe and wonder.
